How it works
The math, in the open.
Florists usually quote by item and then add delivery, setup and breakdown as a percentage or a flat fee, with sales tax on top. Put your own numbers in each field; if the fee is flat, set the percentage to 0 and add the fee to ceremony pieces.
| Step | Formula |
|---|---|
| Subtotal | tables × centerpiece + bouquets × price + boutonnieres × price + ceremony |
| Total | subtotal × (1 + fee %) × (1 + tax %) |
Example: 10 centerpieces at $80, 5 bouquets at $100, 6 boutonnieres at $20 and $300 of ceremony pieces = $1,720; with a 15% fee and 8% tax, $2,136.
FAQ
Questions people ask.
How do I lower the flower bill?
Reuse ceremony arrangements at the reception, pick in-season flowers and use fewer, larger centerpieces. Run each change through this tool.
Is sales tax charged on flowers?
Check your quote: it should show whether tax applies and at what rate.
