Privacy policy

Anchor Guide is a static website. We do not run user accounts, comment forms or newsletters, and we do not ask for your name, address or payment details. Calculators run entirely in your browser; the numbers you type are not sent to us.

Right now we use no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. Pages load one third-party resource: the Inter typeface from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address and browser details when it delivers the font.

Our hosting and content-delivery providers (including Cloudflare) process technical data such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and the time of the request, in order to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We keep server logs for up to 30 days.

If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply and to fix the issue you raise, and we delete the thread within 12 months unless it documents a correction.

If we add advertising later, it will be served by Google. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.

You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info. Learn more in How Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Before any advertising or analytics cookies are set, visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland will be asked for consent through a consent banner, and visitors in US states with opt-out rights will be able to opt out of targeted advertising. We will update this page and its date when that happens.

In the last 12 months we have collected these categories of personal information, only for the purposes above: identifiers (IP address, and email address if you write to us) and internet activity (pages requested, browser and device type). We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Depending on where you live (for example California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia or Texas), you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to correct or delete it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing for targeted advertising. We honor Global Privacy Control browser signals as an opt-out request. To make a request, email editors@theanchorg.com; we will respond within 45 days and will not treat you differently for using these rights.

Anchor Guide is intended for adults planning events and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children; if you believe a child has contacted us, email us and we will delete it.

We will post any change to this policy on this page and update the date at the top. Effective Oct 8, 2026.
